According to the St. Petersburg Times, almost every member of the Republican of the Florida House is spending their time at Santa Rosa Beach resort.Rep. Ray Sansom said, "Our goal is after each election to give members a chance to get to know each other."
Because they obviously couldn't do that at an IHOP.
And who's paying for this retreat? The Republican Party of Florida. Oh, and some lobbyist friends.

The Republican Party did not provide an estimated cost of the event, but four nights at the resort would cost $1,000 for each of the 65 representatives who attended - or $65,000.Wow. Uh, hello college tuition.
For all four years.
